Artists Personal Lives
I
believe when artists become famous they know their personal lives are going to
be looked into and a large topic of discussion.
I don’t think their personal lives really matter as long as their making
good music. Well in some cases I believe
it’s ok to research their past lives.
For example, rappers, some rap about a life they are not really about
and portray themselves as something that they totally aren’t. For instance, rapper Plies raps about all
sorts of nonsense and comes off as really ignorant to me. But in real life, he is well educated, comes
from a good home, and has a college degree.
After learning things like that, it makes me lose a sense of respect for
the artist. Don’t act like something you
aren’t at all. Other than cases like
that I don’t think where artists come from and their background really
matters. It doesn’t make the difference
of whether or not they are actually a good artist. Music and lyrics makes the artist in my
opinion, not where they come from or what they are deciding to do in their lives.
Influential Artist
I believe one of the most
influential artists of the twentieth century would have to be Michael
Jackson. Michael Jackson may have been
inspired by artists like James Brown, but I think he actually inspired more
people than James Brown did. In many of
the interviews I have seen of artists they say they were inspired by Michael
Jackson. James Brown may have inspired
one of the greatest artists of all time.
So I do believe it is true that without people like James Brown, there
would have never been a Michael Jackson but I think Michael Jackson actually
influenced more individuals to become musicians.

The Team is Reunited
All of the people I’m really good friends with are people I have known since middle school and elementary school. We all still hang out even though we do different things and all go to different schools. This past weekend all my friends that go to other colleges came home because they were on their spring break and “the team,” as we call ourselves, was finally reunited. All twenty of us met at our friend Moody’s house to hang out. It was such a good time. I love my friends! I didn’t realize how much I missed all those people until we actually got together and hung out again. When I hang out with them nothing else matters and I’m able to escape all my problems it seems like. There’s never a dull moment when were together! Sometimes I wish we all went to the same school, but then I realize if that actually happened I would never get any work done because I would be having too much fun all the time. Then I would lose hope scholarship. Then I wouldn’t be able to afford school. Then I would never be able to become a teacher and I would have to live my life as a bum in the streets. So I guess it’s a good thing we don’t all get to go to school together and we only get to hang out every couple months.
